Mortgage brokers for refinancing
Reviewing one existing home loan can be a different conversation from refinancing with business income, extra borrowing or several properties. Start with the scope of the request and how you want to work with a broker.
Find brokers suited to your situationWhy broker fit can differ
A straightforward review of one home loan may require a different workflow from refinancing several investment debts, adding funds for renovations or dealing with self-employed income. Some brokers prefer clearly defined, application-ready refinances. Others welcome early review work, guidance-heavy cases or the extra coordination that comes with a larger portfolio.
The matcher uses private declarations from brokers about the case types they support, work they prefer or would rather accept less often, specialist appetite and rough loan workload. Those details shape alignment without being presented publicly as scores or labels. A broker's current ability to accept appointments is respected through capacity pauses, but availability does not create a score advantage.
Fit is about the likely usefulness of the working relationship, not the outcome of a refinance. A broker and lender still need to verify the details, consider costs and policy, and determine whether an application is appropriate. The service does not promise savings, approval or access to every lender.
What the matcher considers
The matcher considers property coverage, explicit support for refinancing, relevant case complexity and how much guidance you want. It uses the rough current mortgage balance plus any additional borrowing to describe the requested funding amount. These figures do not establish accessible equity, serviceability or an amount a lender may approve. Your reason for reviewing the loan and timing remain useful conversation context.
Estimated property value, applicant income and debts provide further unverified context. They are not separately scored and do not amount to a valuation, credit check or borrowing-capacity result. Relevant employment information can supply income-complexity signals, including self-employment tenure. An existing investment portfolio can also change the relevant case categories.
Working preferences cover phone, video or written contact and language. Language can be marked preferred or required, with required selections applying more strongly. The matcher does not independently compare rates, fees, cashback offers or loan features, and it does not match lender-specific policy or document criteria.
Common situations
One homeowner may want a general review after several years with the same loan. Another may have a specific reason for extra funding, such as renovation costs, and want to understand the process. An investor might be refinancing one property within a larger portfolio, while a self-employed borrower may need a broker who is comfortable first discussing a more complex income picture.
Someone who is only researching can say how much explanation would be useful. Someone with a known date can add it as context for a later conversation. For example, a borrower who wants written updates can state that preference even when the refinance figures remain approximate. A transaction date is not a guarantee of availability or lending completion.
The matcher lets these differences inform broker alignment without treating a purpose or balance as proof that refinancing makes sense. Break costs, discharge fees, valuation outcomes, loan term changes and the total cost over time all require separate investigation during the advice and application process.
Separating the current loan from the new request
A clear refinance summary has two parts: what exists now and what you want to explore. Record the approximate current balance, property value and loan purpose, then separately note any extra funding request and its intended use. If several debts or properties are involved, identify which ones are within the immediate scope rather than combining everything into one unexplained total.
You do not need statements or other documents to use Your Broker Match. Profiles can help you explore who appears aligned and what service style they offer. Prepare questions about review scope, likely costs, information needed and how alternatives would be compared. The matcher currently supports profile exploration and conversation preparation; it does not send a broker introduction on your behalf.
